Leonardo da Vinci
Leonardo da Vinci(1452-1519) Leonardo was an extremely talented artist of the Renaissance. He was also a scientist, sculptor, architect, musician, mathematician, engineer, inventor, and writer. He was a scientist in many fields. One of his most well-known works of art is the Mona Lisa that has many mysteries surrounding it such as what the woman is thinking about. He also painted The Last Supper.
Michelangelo Buonarroti
Michelangelo Buonarroti(1475-1564) Better known as simply Michelangelo, Michelangelo was one of the greatest artists of his time alongside Da Vinci and Raphael. As a sculptor, he was known for making two statues called the Pieta and David. As a painter, he was best-known for creating to magnificent frescoes on the ceiling and altar wall of the Sistine Chapel.

Raphael Sanzio(1483-1520) Also known simply as Raphael, Raphael was a Italian painter and architect of the High Renaissance the time when Europe reached its peak. He was best known for creating the painting called The School of Athens. He, Michelangelo, and Da Vinci were the greatest artists of their time.
Sandro Botticelli
Sandro Botticelli(1445-1510) Sandro was an Italian painter of the Renaissance. He was famous for using a painting called fresco, which is when an artists paints on wet plaster using watercolor paint. Fresco also means fresh in Italian. Sandro is best known for painting three frescoes in the Sistine Chapel.
Titian
Titian(1488-1576) Titian was an Italian painter of the late Renaissance. He used a painting technique known as Chiaroscuro which is when rich colors are contrasted with dark shadows. He made many paintings of religious and mythological scenes. He also painted scenes from his own imagination.When he died he was count and was extremely rich due to his works. His best work was The Assumption to the Virgin.
Jan Van Eyck
Jan Van Eyck(1390-1441) Jan van Eyck was a Flemish painter of the Renaissance famous for his beautiful oil paintings. He is best known for making a oil painting of Giovanni Arnolfini and his wife. He expressed every detail in the painting.
Albrecht Durer
Albretcht Durer(1471- 1528) Durer was a painter, engraver, mathematician, and theorist from Germany. He was most famous for his wood engravings. His greatest works were the Knight,Death,and the Devil, Saint Jerome in His Study, and Melencolia I. But he was also Europe's first of the first European landscape artists because of his water colors
Pieter Brugel
Pieter Brughel(1525-1569) Pieter Bruegel, also known as Peasant Bruegel, was a Flemish painter and printmaker. He was famous for his landscape and peasant paintings. He is famous works include Landscape with the Fall of Icarus, The Hunters in the Snow, and The Peasant Wedding.
